Changes for iOS 18 & More
- Gentler Streak is being sherlocked, so I can cancel the subscription
- Training Peaks is being partially sherlocked (I won’t have workout planning, but I wasn’t using it very good, so I don’t mind)
- Evaluate to remove Day One in favor of Journal (tagging system is not present on iOS 17, maybe it will on iOS 18?)
- Buy new iPhone because my iPhone 14 Pro Max doesn’t support Apple Intelligence
- Buy new iPad Pro 11” because mine doesn’t support Apple Intelligence (+ Apple Pencil Pro + Magic Keyboard)
- Still doesn’t make sense to upgrade to an iPad-only setup, (so no 13”) as the new macOS enables iPhone mirroring that’s super useful a lot of times, especially when traveling
- When leasing of the MacBook Pro ends in 2025, it’ll most probably make sense to buy the MacBook Air 15” to take advantage of the bigger screen - I don’t need the capabilities of the Pro models anymore
- 1Password is likely being shelocked completely, so cancel that subscription as well
- Still need AllTrails subscription for a year, as new Maps hiking routes are only available in U.S. and Japan
- I’ll probably need the AirPods Pro 2nd generation if I want the Voice Isolation feature, that’s pretty helpful when I talk on the phone in loud environments (often when I’m on business trips)
